Plants Are Farmers
The interaction between plant roots and beneficial microbes is wild!
Plants secrete sugars around their root tips to essentially "farm" microbes.
The microorganisms multiply around the roots, feeding on the sugars and absorbing nutrients from the surrounding soil.
They then get slurpe
d by the plant roots, where the plant breaks down the cell walls of the microbe to absorb its nutrients.
The remaining microbes get expelled back into the soil through the roots where the cycle starts all over again.
This process is known as the rhizophagy cycle.
One result of using beneficial microbes in cannabis is that plants are able to more effectively access a broader range of nutrients.
This produces a broader range of cannabinoids, terpenes and other compounds, and, in my opinion, can make for a more flavorful and enjoyable experience.
